Bounty hunter Rick Deckard, whose wife Iran dials her moods on a Penfield mood organ and who keeps a fake electric sheep because a real animal is beyond his means, is assigned to retire a group of escaped Nexus-6 androids, including Rachael Rosen, Roy and Irmgard Baty, and opera singer Luba Luft, whose deaths leave him shaken and questioning what separates him from them.
