After Alexander the Great's death in Babylon, his generals Perdikkas, Ptolemy, Eumenes, Antigonos, and the rest tear his empire apart in years of shifting alliances, murders, and civil war, while his mother Olympias, his widow Roxane, and his half-witted half-brother Philip Arridaios become pawns and casualties of the succession struggle.
