Rosmersholm

Back at his family estate, the ex-clergyman John Rosmer has quietly abandoned his old faith and politics under the influence of his late wife's companion Rebecca West, whose real hold on the house is darker than it looks. When his brother-in-law forces a reckoning, Rosmer and Rebecca walk out together to the footbridge over the millrace and do not return.
