Official Lü Qiuyin, newly posted to Taizhou, is cured of a blinding headache by a beggar monk who sends him to the Guoqing temple to meet two holy men, Jittoku and Kanzan. When he finally greets them in the temple kitchen, the pair burst into laughter and run away.
