Bored by ordinary pleasures, a young man hides in a temple lodging in the slums of Asakusa and starts dressing up as a woman, heavily powdered, in a friend's kimono. Out in the city as a woman he meets a mysterious veiled lover from his past, who ferries him blindfolded in a rickshaw through a secret city.
