by Frank Rinder · 1895
Rinder retells Japanese myths and folk tales, from the birth of the gods and Izanagi's descent to Hades to the Star Lovers, the Moon-Maiden and the golden boy Kintaro. Illustrated by T. H. Robinson, the stories favour colour and charm over scholarship.
