Kichang of Handan sets out to become the greatest archer under heaven, training first to never blink and to see a louse as large as a horse under the master Fei Wei. Sent on to the ancient hermit Ganying, who shoots a kite from the sky with an unstrung bow, he returns an expressionless old man who forgets what a bow even is.
